Frank Enjoys Opportunity to Speak for the Houston Corporate Paralegal Association
July 20th, 2017 by David Minces
Frank was fortunate to speak to the Houston Corporate Paralegal Association (HCPA) last week with the help of Ben, our summer intern who just graduated from high school. At the HCPA’s CLE Luncheon on July 12th, Frank gave his Wage and Hour 101 presentation to paralegals representing a multitude of corporations. Frank was happy to talk to professionals in the paralegal field as a former paralegal himself.
Frank’s presentation focused on overtime pay and the ways employees may be classified as exempt from overtime pay. He went over all the procedures companies need to follow if they are to classify employees as exempt. Frank talked about the future of overtime exemptions, explaining the proposed changes to the current salary minimums required for employees to become exempt.
